Upward Sports Basketball

Established in 1995, Upward Sports is the world’s largest Christian youth sports provider. Upward Sports is the only organization that offers the 360 Progression™, a uniquely designed total sports experience that adapts and expands as players grow in their personal athletic journeys. The 360 Progression develops total athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially – producing players who excel both on and off the field.  Today, approximately half a million players at more than 2,000 churches in 47 states participate in camps, clinics, and leagues through Upward Sports’ Recreation Division.

Here at Hereford UMC, we offer Upward Sports Basketball as an alternative to the highly competitive recreation and travel leagues that consume so much time and travel – where children and youth can have fun, learn skills, character, teamwork and God’s love while practicing and playing in games that focus on sportsmanship and fun!

Our Upwards Sports basketball league is co-ed (teams are made up of both boys and girls), and open to Kindergarten (5 year olds) through 12th grade.  All practices and games will be held at the Hereford United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

Registration Information:
 

The registration cost per child for basketball is $ 67.

Deadline for registration is January 13

Evaluations:

Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation. They will take place at the
Family Life Center as follows:
 

K5 through 12 Grade Boys/Girls

Thursday, December 8, between 6 PM and 9 PM
Tuesday, December 13, between 6 PM and 9 PM
Thursday, December 15, between 6 PM and 9 PM
Saturday, December 17, between 10 AM and 2 PM
 

Program Schedule:

Awards Celebration – Saturday, March 18 , 2017
